Dalkia Bio-energy has opted to use recycled wood as its fuel source because it is sustainable, has gone beyond its primary use and is in plentiful supply. And by tapping into this material, we are saving million of tonnes of wood from going to landfill.
Previously the wood was in the form of pallets, construction off-cuts, and packing crates– beyond its useful life., To maximise the fuel potential of this wood Dalkia grades and converts it into grade A pellets that are independently tested to guarantee their quality Grade-A wood pellets are suitable for most biomass burning plant providing a clean, green fuel source – and are sold by the tonne for use by schools, leisure centres, hospitals public buildings etc.
